The left will never get it......

We're stuck in a time when change is sweeping the country from one end to the other. The only real problem with this wave of change is that it's proceeding much to slowly. At a frustratingly slow pace the old "mainstream" media is gradually loosing it's stranglehold grip on the dissemination of information to the public. Mainstream is in quotes above because that is a title they give themselves rather than who they truly represent. Just take a look at the last Presidential victory map and the "mainstream" press represents the views of the blue states. Everything blue is a bastion of liberal thinking. That tiny fragment of the country is who the media plays to because that is where they live and work. Those are the people they know and with whom they socialize. It was like one reporter commented after the last Bush victory: "I don't know how he won.... no one I know voted for him."

Who is it she knows? Other people who think (and I use that word with caution) like she does, dine where she dines, shop where she shops, etc. The media live and work and socialize in a very small little world surrounded by others who are just like them. There is no contrast and no other point of view except that of the liberal left. When the media goes to work each day they take their world view with them and that world view is decidedly left wing.

From that point forward there is an underlying agenda that taints and colors everything they do. Every single news item is seen through the liberal prism and colored accordingly. There is an old joke that explains that process perfectly. A reporter from the New York Times was in Washington DC. While out for a walk he saw something strange and stopped to look. It was the figure of a man walking across the Potomac river. A couple of minutes later President Bush stepped ashore and continued on his walk. The reporter was shocked and quickly dialed his office to file a story. The headline? "Bush Can't Swim!"

That is the perfect example of how the media slants what they see to conform with their world view. Take the war in Iraq for example. Going in the press was against the war and against the administration too. They think that the US military is the greatest force for evil on the planet. How has that war been covered? All we heard from the start was that the Iraqi army was much too strong for us and too good at desert warfare. Then we heard that we didn't have enough troops and the few we had were not properly trained. We heard that the republican guard would defend Baghdad to the death. We were told to be prepared to see tens of thousands of body bags coming back to the United States.

At every turn and every doom and gloom call the media was proven wrong. Unfortunately that doesn't stop them and doesn't alter their world view and their agenda. That agenda is simply making sure that the democrat party returns to power and stays there forever. Because of that belief they can't print anything positive while a republican is in the white house and while republicans are the majority in the house and senate. In 1995, while Bill Clinton was in office, a heatwave in Chicago killed over 1000 people. That got scant coverage by the press. Chicago is a democrat controlled city, Clinton was a democrat president. No accusations of Clinton causing global warming and killing people. No outcry for him not personally showing up (EVER) to view the carnage. No fingers pointed at the federal government or the city or state government for not doing more to prevent those deaths. Fewer than 300 people (so far) have died in New Orleans and the press is screaming for Bush to be impeached and his entire administration to resign for being incompetent. Over 3 times more people die under Clinton in one event and nothing from the press. And you think there is NO media bias? Please! Under Clinton we had hurricanes Andrew, Floyd, Fran, Opal, Georges, Erin, and Bonnie. Not once was Clinton blamed for the storms, the deaths and damage they caused, global warming or anything else. New Orleans is partially flooded after a levee fails and Bush has to go! No media bias my ass!

Louisiana is a state controlled by the democrats for the last 60 years. Since being in office, President Bush has authorized more funds for levee construction and repair that the last two presidents combined. All the president can do is authorize the funds. He can't personally ensure that the funds are actually spent as intended. Bush is responsible for making sure that Louisiana had the funds to make the levees safe. Louisiana is responsible for doing that job. It's fairly obvious that they failed. President Bush called Louisiana Governor Blanco 24 hours before landfall asking her to go ahead and declare a federal emergency so he could get things moving. Governor Blanco declined thus delaying the federal governments response. Mayor Ray Nagin refused to use city and school buses to evacuate the poor because..... he couldn't find the drivers. My guess is that a full 80% of the people in the superdome could drive a damn bus if given the chance. All he had to do was say he had buses and needed people who could drive them... but he didn't. The administration was blamed for not getting supplies to the superdome but the Red Cross says they had truck loads of food, water and other supplies designated for the superdome but were turned away! Why? Because officials there said that the extra food and water would attract more people and they couldn't handle more people! Amazing. And yesterday Gov. Blanco blamed FEMA for not getting the bodies out quicker when 4 days earlier she told FEMA that the State of Louisiana would handle that. In all of this I'm still wondering where the utopia is that liberals have been promising us if they are left in power. They have been in power in Louisiana for over 60 years and all we see is that when the people really have to depend upon their local and state government they are abandoned.

That last statement is key to understanding the liberal mind set. As long as you are an asset to them you're taken care of. Vote for them, pay taxes, take what ever little handout they want to give you and they'll "take care" of you. But do not make the mistake of becoming a liability to the democrats. They will cut you loose faster then rats leaving a sinking ship. Examples are everywhere and if you want me to take up space listing them I certainly can.... but you've got internet and you can do the research yourself. Bottom line is that the left and their ideas have been soundly rejected by the sane, rational thinking part of America. We on the right get it. We reject socialism! We reject communism! We fought for the right to be free and we are not going to surrender that right to a bunch of fools who think the only reason communism failed is because they were not in charge! And it's the same with all their social programs. They continue to fail and fall short and we're always told to give it more time and more money. (Especially more money!) Ted Kennedy was bitching the other day about "Bush's education program" being an abject failure. Ted Kennedy wrote the damn education bill! That's another thing about the left. They are never responsible. Even when it's their plan and their ideas when it fails it's the fault of someone or something else.... never them.

I'm starting to think that a slightly over the top radio talk show host (no... not Rush) had it right when he said..... "Liberalism is a mental disorder."

Time to be critical of Pres. Bush and the Republicans GASP!

This last round of pissing and bitching by the liberal left has finally gotten to me and I'm pissed too. For years we've been hearing that "Bush is evil!" "Bush is Hitler!" "Bush invaded Iraq just to get their oil!" "Bush hates the poor!" "Bush is a murderer!" and anything else the left can think of. My bitches are a bit different than theirs, mostly because I have the ability to think and reason, but the are still bitches.
First, my bitches about the Republican party. Number one. When is this duly elected bunch of weak kneed wennies going to grow a pair (of you know what) and start acting like the majority party? I'm sick and tired of watching them lay down and play dead each and every time that the left raises some petty little bitch. SCREW THE LEFT! News flash... THEY LOST! They are the minority and it's high time the right figured that out and treated them like the failed loosers that they are. They have been rejected, their 70 year old ideas havve been rejected and they are out of power. However the left refuses to admit that they lost and the liberal press refuses to treat them like republicans..... I mean losers.
We all know the old stream press is leftist and liberal. That is clear to everyone except the left and the press. Every time a Democrat member of the house or Senate has a bitch there are mikes and cameras everywhere to capture every scathing word. If a Republican steps out with a comment then the wind whippng through the Linclon memorial is the loudest sound out there and the only cameras clicking are from tourists. So it boils down to this. IF the left wants to bitch and moan the liberal press is more than willing to advance their agenda. The the right wants to respond to them then tough shit. Time for the right to stop playing nice and demand equal time and coverage. When the press starts taking up the liberal agenda in their questioning hammer them on it and demand equal representation the next time they interview someone from the left. (When was the last time you heard someone from the media really go after someone with a big "D" by their title?) Or how about this little fact. During the wonderful Clinton years America was hit by a combination of 10 major storms, 8 of which were hurricanes. I never heard one member of the media or the left demanding investigations or that Clinton resign or be impeached. (One storm hits New Orleans and all of the above is demanded for Pres. Bush) On January 17, 1994 the infamous Northridge earthquake kills 57 people, injures over 5000 and does 20 Billion in damage to California. Not a peep from the left about holding Clinton responsible. In the summer of 1995 Chicago is hit with a heat wave and leaves over 1000 dead. Again the left is mostly silent and no one blames Mr. Clinton. How come?
Now for President Bush. President bush has got a huge problem and he really needs to change and become more like a Democrat. His problem? He's too damn nice! Due to all the legal crap from the first victory the Bush administration was delayed in actually occupying the White House and other facilities. When they were granted admission what they found looked a lot like New Orleans. Staff offices had all been vandalized, computers had their drives erased, keyboards had keys removed, trash dumped all over, even human feces on the walls of some offices. All of this done (pay close attention here) to your White House and your equipment! President Bush ordered a complete blackout on all that and further ordered that NO photos of the vandalizm be released. Personally.... I'd have invited the entire press corps to tour the White House and demanded a full investigation and prosecution of anyone found guilty. But President Bush is too damn nice. He let them all go and covered it all up. Higher up the ladder of responsibility former President Clinton took Air Force One (renamed to something else for his flight since he was no longer the setting President) and the American People for one last ride. Upon landing, Clinton and his aides literally stripped the aircraft of everything that wasn't nailed down. Blankets, pillows, sheets, plates, cups, saucers, crystal, etc. Several hunderd thousand dollars worth of your property looted from your presidential aircraft. And that damn nice President Bush also orders all that supressed. If nothing else I'd have ordered a complete inventory then either billed the former President or deducted it from his retirement pay until the damages had been recovered.
Yep! I'm getting real tired of these damn nice republicans! Time to get a little bit democratic I think. Time to be mean and nasty to the left and the press. Time to start tossing their crap right back in their faces. Next time some bloated Senator (who looks a lot Like Ted Kennedy) demands that "Bush" (they never show respect) lay out an "exit stratagy" for Iraq my reply would be: "We will just as soon as we get an exit stratagy from the Clinton administration for Kosovo." I'd also lay out some basic ground rules for those presidential press conferences too. Rules one and two would be civility and respect for the office. Violate either of those and your White House access is revoked for the balance of the term. So you'd never again hear comments like "Answer the question, Mr. President, Answer the question!" Who the hell did that jerkweek think he was talking to anyway? Some pimple faced college freshman or media intern? Pardon me but you do not make demands when you are addressing the leader of the both the free world and the singular most powerful person on the planet. You can ask polite questions. You can ask very specific and very pointed questions. You do not make demands.
Granted the right does have a problem in acting like they are in power and acting like they have figured that out and grown a pair. (you've figured out of what by this time I hope) That problem is the old stream media. Anytime the right tries to make it's point the entire media attacks and attackes and attacks. (what happened to reporting?) The left all goes into full attack mode (it's all they have but it works) and they impune the integrity of the person, assail their ideas and generally try to destory them personally. (Look how well that worked when Mr. Clinton was in office. Any time someone created a "problem" for the president... they were destroyed. I guess that is one thing to be thankful for if you are a republican and a conservative. We don't have to worry about when our leaders are going to turn on us and try to destroy us like the people on the left do.
Here is a nice challenge for you. Over the next seven days keep track of a few things. How many times is someone with a "D" by their name interviewed and how many times is someone with an "R" by their name interviewed. What is the tone of the reporter to each? How many times do you hear solutions to problems being offered by the left..... and by the right. From which side, left or right, do you hear the most whining, bitching moaning and complaining? From which side, left or right, do you hear the most positive statements? Play that little game for a week then check your score cards. The side you hear solutions and positive thoughts and ideas from is the side you should be voting for next time around.

The Big (not so) Easy

I've wondered for years why, exactly, New Orleans had the nickname of "the Big Easy." Unfortunately I never found an adequate answer to my query but it seems that the city is in for a nickname change anyway. Also I'm pretty tired of all the endless 24/7 coverage of every single sad tale and hopeless image the old stream press can find to shove in our faces. Catch a clue you jerkweeks. It was a natural disaster.... there are going to be casualities, distruction and chaos. having that rammed down our throats 24/7 does not serve any useful purpose. We tend to have our hearts go out to them for about two days and after that what we feel is "Enough already! we get the freaking point!"

However this is the old stream press and they have never been known to take a hint in the past and I doubt will ever change. Dinosaurs didn't change with the times either and look what it got them. A nice long reign then no more big lizards. (Oh yeah... and that space rock played a part too... but mammals survived that and the big guys didn't.) So 24/7 we get "Look! Look! These people are suffering and you have to feel sorry for them!" Notice that it didn't say you have to do something for them... you have to feel for them. That's the liberal way. Feel for this cause have compassion for that cause but they are always short on doing things to actually make a positive change.

For each of the sad tales cominng out of Louisiana there are 10 to 20 tales of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to help themselves and others. Where is the 24/7 press coverage of these heros of the storm? What made this country and made this country great was the spirit of rugged individualism in the people who came here to build a better life for themselves. It damn sure wasn't a case of "I don't feel like building a home so maybe the indians will build one for me and let me live in it." And not "killing animals is icky and I don't want to do that so maybe someone will feed me." Short and sweet if that was your mentality you just were not going to make it, period. And since liberals love evoloution let's just call that natural selection and be happy. Too bad it still doesn't work that way. The entire planet would be better off if it did.

Am I being cruel? Not at all. Evolution simply says that the strong make it and the weak or unprepared do not. That way succeeding generations have the traits of self reliance and strength they need to survive at a higher rate than before. But being liberals they can't even stay on message about evoloution so now, all of a sudden, we're supposed to feel sorry for the weak and helpless and unprepared and help them survive. Sorry but that mentality just does not square with what they want to teach us (and our children) about how we got here.

So if we are truly suppose to care and have compassion for the weak, frail, injured and helpless I suspect that 90% of Americans can tell you what theory does support those traits. They label it "intelligent design" these days but creationism worked for us in the old days. That would be the "childish superstition" (to use Bill Marr's words) that we were created by a loving God who wants us to live in peace and harmony and do unto others as we would have them do unto us. How about I propose something radical. BOTH theories are correct! Some of us did evolve and the rest of us were created in the image of a loving God. If that is the case then, when one is watching all the press coverage at New Orleans, it's pretty easy to tell who belongs to which group. The evoloution group... that would be the ones acting true to their animal past and nature. The God group would be the ones risking their lives (in some cases) to help and save others. Yes. I think that dual background theory works out nicely!.

As for the old stream press. I'd keep one eye pointed up at the sky looking for the next space rock if I were them. But someone with greater wit than I already wrote that headline. "Asteroid to destroy Earth! Blacks, woman and minorities most affected!"

Storm Damage

It sure is nice to live in a country where everything that goes wrong gives the left another reason to bitch, moan, whine and complain. Notice there is nothing positive there and that is exactly the point. In the last 40 years when was the last time anything positve came from the left? The only bright shining light there is John Kennedy. (A conservative by todays standards)

Kennedy had two things going for him. A vision and plan for America and an understanding of the economic engine that drives this country forward. He task us with putting a man on the moon and returning him safely and the entire country set about reaching that goal. To keep the engine of freedom chugging along happily he lowered the marginal tax rates and money poured into the government coffers like it had never done before.

What have they offered up since Kennedy? Nothing worth noting in a positive sense. Oh sure everyone on the left will just up an down and point out that Bill Clinton was the greatest president in American History! Oh really? Want to see fear spread all over a liberal's face in a big hurry? Just ask them to name two things Bill Clinton actually did. I can tell you the one thing he did that was his main goal from the outset. He got the worlds greatest retirement plan, took his toys (and everything else he could get his hands on) and went home.

The left hasn't had a vision or a plan for America since JFK and if you'll notice they almost never raise his name when they themselves speak of great liberals. I guess the biggest reason for that was that, while he was a democrat, he wasn't a liberal. He believed in 98% of the things that all conservatives believe in, smaller government, lower taxes, etc. As such he's shunned by those who's answer to everything is more government and higher taxes. The left has become nothing more than a collection of special interest groups which must all be held together by giving into their demands. How about we give a quick look to just one special interest group and that would be the environmentalists.

What has that group actually done for America? Come on... think hard now. As much air time and press coverage as they get they must have done something you can think of. "They cleaned up the air!" Hmmmmm...... Sorry. Other than bitch and moan and get a lot of face time on TV they didn't do a damn thing to clean up the air. Corporate America did that with the profits they made doing business. Why? Here is a dirty little secret.... shhhhhhh.... keep this to yourselves... All those evil business men, their wives and their kids.... all have to breath the very same air you and I.... and the environmentalists do! Same with the water and land. They don't have a special reserve sit aside just for them.

One thing the enviriomentalists have done lately is cause a hell of a lot of grief in New Orleans. How, you ask? Who is it that pisses and moans about the evil automobile and tells us that we all would be much better off (and save the planet) if we would just use public transportation? Those wonderful environmentalists! Who managed to get out of New Orleans? That would be people who had evil autommobiles and heeded the evacuation order. Who got stranded in the Big Easy and were left to fend for themselves? Well.... there were no public transportation buses on the highways leading out of town so see if you can figure it out. And all those evil SUV's they want banned. When the water was two feet deep I damn sure didn't see any Honda Insights or Toyota Prius's crusing through to move people and material around.... did you? Nope. It was those evil SUV's getting in and out through all that mess.

See a pattern developing here? Basically it's this.... if the left tells you that it's what you should be doing to save the planet (and whatever else is on their agenda that week) then you can bet your sweet ass you should be doing the exact opposite. Every time the public buys into their BS it comes back to bite them in the ass. And when they do get bit how do they respond? They blame the nearest Republican. Another fact of liberal/leftist life.... they are never responsible for anything that goes wrong. Come to think of it... they are just plain not responsible!

There is more of this rant but I need to cool off a bit first.
