100 down..... 1,361 to go....

Well…President Obama makes it through his first 100 days. Naturally the sycophantic media is drooling all over themselves over this historic event. Can you blame them? Obama is a product of their making. Packaged, presented, promoted, propped up and protected by the liberal media giants.

We’ve heard little else but high praise for this man since the election from the media. He’s the most brilliant, most well spoken, most suave and sophisticated man of the world we’ve ever elected. Why… even the founding fathers fade to insignificants in the blinding light of his aura. Where George W. Bush could do absolutely nothing right Barack Hussein Obama can do absolutely nothing wrong. Or can he?

How about we take a little peek at the past 100 days and review some of the stellar achievements of Mr. Perfect, shall we? To his credit he has rung up some spectacular successes in these first 100 days.

For example he’s been able to get the house and senate to ram through legislation which undermines the power of both houses and transfers it to him. Further he has been incredibly effective in moving forward swiftly the most radical government expanding agenda in American history.

At home, in everything from his economic policy to his energy policy to his just announced science policy, President Obama has successfully moved America from its historical model of entrepreneurship and private initiative to a European model of Government regulation and control.

Abroad he has succeeded in his apparent attempt to be the non-George Bush; replacing aggressive, though sometimes flawed, American leadership with a humbled and weakened America on the world stage. What else has he accomplished?

Under the guise of “economic stimulus” he was able to get passed a $787 billion gift for his liberal special interest base. He accomplished this so quickly that NO member of congress was able to read the full bill before voting on it.

After a campaign pledge to end earmarks, he signed an appropriations bill loaded with over 8000 earmarks and paid NO political penalty. Remember George H.W. Bush and his no new taxes statement. The media crucified him…. But Obama skates unscathed for a much bigger grievance.

He has also been most successful at making the party members toe the party line. In the Senate Democrats were in lock step 91% of the time on votes and in the House and amazing 94% party line voting record.

There were a couple of amazing power grabs too. Obama has been successful in transforming the Federal Reserve and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) into giant engines of unsupervised spending. Together, in these first 100 days, they have spent the equivalent of the entire 2007 Federal Budget without having to disclose where the money went.

Just two weeks ago Obama presided over and unprecedented bureaucratic power grab when he got the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to rule that greenhouse gasses pose a threat to public health. This seemingly innocuous decision opens the door to wholesale regulation of every aspect of American life by the government. The threat is “so great” [they say] that politicians and activists are using the specter of an “out of control EPA” to try to force Congress to pass a 1 trillion to 2 trillion dollar tax increase in the form of a “cap and trade” program.

Overseas he’s been on an endless apology tour calling his own country “arrogant, dismissive and derisive.” At home he’s ramped up the public guilt trip by caving to the anti-American Left and threatening to prosecute former Bush officials over the interrogation of terrorists who were attempting to kill Americans. Not quite the Stalin style purges yet… but we're now walking down the same path.

The icing on the cake is going to be his 2010 budget which will completely remake the American healthcare system, remake the energy system and raise taxes. All of which are predicted to put America over 9 TRILLION dollars in debt. Media reaction? The sound of crickets chirping…….. Remember the “outrage” over Bush’s spending? Yet at a rate 1000 times greater not one single hostile syllable. Amazing!!!

But we’re not done yet! Nope… even now Democrats in Congress are fashioning a deal to pass the budget provisions for health care by preventing the Republicans and moderate Democrats from having a voice in the debate.

Just give that some thought for a minute. The Obama - Reid - Pelosi political machine is is going to pass legislation that fundamentally affects every American citizen…. And over 17% of our economy…. By cutting out the representatives of half the people out of the process. If you’re not scared yet….. You damn sure should be.

But it hasn’t been all positive. Nope… Mr. Suave has had his lighter moments too. Take inauguration day when we all heard how we were going to have to sacrifice. Meanwhile the event cost the nation triple what Bush spent. He was also in such a hurry to start “remaking” the country that he blew the oath of office. Good start.

The we have the appointments. (these guys need to look up “vetting:” in the dictionary) Bill Richardson pulls out over an ongoing investigation about campaign contributions. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner has a minor problem figuring out the tax code he will oversee and fails to pony up $34,000 in taxes. Tom Daschle, nominated for Health Secretary, also can’t figure out the tax code we are expected to understand and fails to pay $146,000 in taxes. Nancy Killefer was supposed to be the Chief Performance Officer…. But once again there seems to be a tiny little problem with her ability to pay taxes. And knowing that Tim Geithner needs help at Treasury Ms. Annette Nazareth is nominated…. But quickly withdraws over her own tax problems!

Speaking of owing people money…. The Democrats still have not paid the $1.74 Million it owes for the party at Grants Park after Obama won.

Then there are the endearing comments that “W” would have been pilloried for if he’d said them. Like this one said in front of a joint session of Congress: “I believe that the nation that invented the automobile cannot walk away from it.” For the enlightenment of you democrats reading this…. Karl Benz… a German fellow and inventor of the gasoline powered motor car…. In Germany…Might object.

In his first visit to the new President British Prime Minister Gordon Brown presents President Obama with a desk set made from the wood of the anti-slavery ship HMS Gannet. In return Mr. Brown received the equally thoughtful gift of 25 DVD’s of American classic movies… in a format incompatible with European systems.

Meanwhile….. CNN medical reporter Sanjay Gupta is actually nominated to be the Surgeon General! The TV personality had the good sense to decline.

And finally…. President Obama is named “newsmaker of the year” by the National Newspaper Publishers Association. The White house closed the ceremony to who else…. THE PRESS! I guess they didn’t want the secret to get out.

Oh there are many more gaffs and gimmicks in these first 100 days. Enough to really make the American People laugh… IF they were ever reported. But reporting fairly and honestly on such matters would make Obama look bad…. And we can’t have that, can we?

100 down… 1,361 to go…. God help us all.

Coincidence?

I guess we all should have been able to see this one coming. Not to make fun of anyone actually affected but.... isn't it interesting that after the largest pork barrel spending bill in the history of the universe (known anyway) that the swine flu strikes? Coincidence? I don't know... but it darn sure is odd.
On a brighter note Sen Arlen Specter, self professed "republican" with a very liberal voting record, finally got too confused being a "RINO" and announced he was switching to the democrat party. YO!!! Grab McCain and don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way over to the dark side.

In other Washington happenings.... Air Force One manages to do a fly by of New York City and the Statue of Liberty.... and Obama knows nothing about it at all? And ONLY Chuck Schumer could be partisan enough to figure out a way to blame the Bush administration for it. (Ever notice how when shit hits the fan Democrats are always innocent as the wind driven snow?)
Bear in mind that AF One only flys one person.... the President. The fact that it or the back up plane would be in the air without the knowledge of the President is a joke. If nothing else AF One and it's twin need to be on call 24/7 in case of emergency. When not on an official mission those two aircraft are "hanger queens" and spend all their non flight time being spit shined and maintained in a 100% state of readiness. The White house knew nothing of this photo OP? Bovine fertilizer!
As a side issue the formatting on this page has decided to ignore the person doing the typing. I'm typing with actual paragraphs... three... four sentences..... a break..... the usual stuff. The program, however.... is electing to just jam everything together. I love it when computers think they know what is best. Reminds me of Politicians. I'll see if I can get into HTML and manually insert some breaks later.
Anyone else out there old enough to remember the saying.... "As General Motors goes.... So goes the country." Yeah.... I'm dating myself here but what the heck. If that statement is true then I guess the country is going down the ol' toilet. I tried to warn y'all that Obama was Stalin Light and if he and the democrats got elected America as we've know it was finished. IF we have a "next time" perhaps you'll listen to me then.
I keep telling you to just check off the Obama agenda from the old Engels and Marx work.... The Communist Manifesto... but I think a bunch of you think I'm joking about that too. I'll try a little cut a paste to save you from looking.
10 Conditions For Transition To Communism

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all
emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of
credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with Statecapital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of
communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of
factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal
liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with
manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equal distribution of the population over the country.
10.
Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production,
According to the Communist Manifesto, all these were prior conditions for a transition from capitalism to communism, but Marx and Engels later expressed a desire to modernize this passage.
Please remember that this was first published in 1848 so the terminology has changed over the years. Still you should be able to get the general idea.
I don't know about you but it seems that the Obama administration is just going right down the list here. They have already taken over GM and Chrysler. Bond holders had a 27% stake in GM and the government had 15%. After the takeover the bond holders got 13% ownership and the government got 53%. Can anyone tell me what the media reaction would have been if George Bush had done this?
The government has also just granted itself broad powers to seize banks! The bank doesn't even have to have any financial difficulties to fall prey either. CitiBank seems to be in the cross hairs right now... so perhaps Honey and I need to consider moving our accounts soon while it's still our money. To say that I don't trust this government is a massive understatement.
Well.... I have many more thoughts... however the frustration at not being able to FORCE this damn page to format correctly is really pissing me off. It even refused to follow HTML formatting commands so it's hopeless. I suspect democrats behind this somehow. They can screw up an anvil with a glass hammer.
I'm outta here

And Bush was "stupid?"

I guess the combination Obama Apology Tour and Gaff Fest is finally over. All you had to do to tell that was watch the stock market. The numbers had been up for 6 straight days. Upon hearing the news that Air Force One had lifted off from Baghdad heading back to the United States the market took a 200 point nose dive. I guess they are glad the president is coming back, huh?

Some of you might remember all the grief “W” took while in office. The New Your Times railed against him for over a week simply because he did a “Texas thing” and, ever so slightly, nodded his head towards the Prime Minister of Japan. “Bush blunders again by bowing to a foreign head of state!” “Bush demeans office with bow!” and other such crap.

Meanwhile.... over in Europe... our ace of Statesmanship and Prince of Policy, Lord Barrack Obama, does a full blown at the waist, 90 degree BOW to the King of Saudi Arabia.

Congratulations Mr. President! As the representative of ALL American people you just demonstrated your (and by default OUR) subservience to the King of a foreign country. Correct me if I'm wrong... but didn't we fight and win a war to ensure that we'd never bow or submit to a King again? Second question. Where the HELL is all the media “outrage” over the total and complete lack of protocol knowledge from this President?

For 8 straight years we were told day in and day out how “stupid” and “embarrassing” President Bush was by the, always perfect, liberal media. He got crucified for a solid week over the slight nod of a head and yet..... if we didn't have this photo from an overseas news agency... no one in America would yet know of the colossal protocol blunder committed by our “immaculate” President Obama. Odd how gaff after gaff the press can't find how the words “stupid” or “embarrassing” might apply to this man.

I've also seen, on several web sites, an ad with the likeness of the President and a burning question. “His IQ is 125! Can YOU beat that?” Simply based on topics of common knowledge from both the campaign and this latest European tour... I think I could beat that if I was in a coma. For example... one would think that someone with an Ivy League degree in Law just might.... right off the top of his brilliant little head..... know how many states there were in the country he wished to lead.

According to our ultra smart current President “I'll be the President of ALL 57 States!” Damn! I'm sure glad of that. Does this mean that, in the very near future, American protectorates like Puerto Rico, Guam and the Philippines are going to be granted Statehood and have their own stars added to our flag? Pardon my low IQ but... last time I checked.... only 50 stars on that flag of ours. To be fair though... there are 57 Islamic states. Perhaps our President was just confused about what he's President of.

Also... the people of Austria were deeply saddened to learn that our dear leader doesn't happen to speak Austrian. (YO! Arnold.... Govenator of Cal-e-fornia... shame on you for not schoolin' our man Berry better before the trip. Darn.... just one simple phrase in Austrian could have saved the day here!) Oh.... just in case our liberal media failed to mention that gaff too.... Austria does have a language. However it's not Austrian.... it is and has been for many many moons.... German.

In yet another display of just how on the ball this new administration is consider this. In total defiance of several United Nations warnings about arms proliferation N. Korea launches a long range missile during Obama's speech in Europe. The “Tapeo-Dong II” (Yeah I'm serious) “hit it's designated target with extreme accuracy and precision” said the N. Korean press release. Of course they were aiming at the Pacific Ocean..... tough to hit I know... but they pulled it off flawlessly.

What was the strong and serious reaction to this act of defiance to the civilized world by the mighty United States? The Secretary of Defense (?) announce that we were going to cut back on missile defense spending and even eliminate some programs. (Whew! I don't know about YOU but that damn sure makes ME feel a LOT more safe!) Of course with the cost of Nancy Pelosi's government supplied Boeing 757 costing us taxpayers $264,000 each trip to home state and back.... we can't afford to simply waste money on frivolous expenditures like National Defense. (cost based on a 12 hours of flight time on a military C-32 (757) with a crew of 16 and an operating expense of $22,000 per hour)

Meanwhile... back at the ranch here in Texas.... I'm finally employed again. Still have pain in my back, left hip, left leg and right ankle but Wal-Mart doesn't care. Very forgiving about VA appointments too. Just let them know and they'll work around it. So if you're passing through Seagoville Texas on highway 175... whip on in to the local Wal-Mart on the east side of town and say Howdy! I'll be back in Automotive somewhere. Make ya a great deal on a set of tires!

Y'all be good to each other out there..... Prey for Obama.... God knows he needs help.....
